"Discography" Summary
It was imminent from a young age that Mavrik would end up creating something. As years passed, the urge to write a book became more and more prominent. In his younger years, he wrote short stories with pieces of paper, and they always seemed to be scary ones. Scary stories became his favorite genre, and then came mystery. Books by R. L. Stine really inspired Mavrik, and thus things started to fall into place. Horror/Scary movies also played a large part in Mavrik’s writing journey, and really his whole personality. In 2021, around the beginning of 7th grade, Mavrik’s dream was just beginning.
In September of 2021, Mavrik and one of his friends created a silly story called “The Mysterious Killer,” and this was never going to become a book. Though as time passed things started to fall into place. “The Mysterious Killer” followed a girl named Blaire who ended up finding herself in a horrible situation. It sounds familiar, right. Well if not, this was the whole plot of Mavrik’s first book. This was the base of “The Lavender Killer,” Mavrik’s first ever book. Though it took a whole year until this story came back to Mavrik. A year later in October of 2022, “The Lavender Killer” started to form into a book. Since “The Mysterious Killer” was never finished, Mavrik wanted to continue its story. He would write each chapter day by day, night by night. He would release these chapters to his friends every week during October, and by the end of the month, Mavrik wanted this to become a book. But how? Well at the time, in his swim club, there were some college students from UWGB. One had told him about KDP, a self publishing book site through Amazon. Then it was right in front of him, this was how he could publish his book. Then during November Mavrik wrote the rest of the book, and published it at the end of the month. A month later Mavrik went abc and revised “The Lavender Killer,” now calling it “The Lavender Killer: Revised edition.”
In January of 2023, it was the new year, and Mavrik and just published his first book a month ago. “The Lavender Killer” had been a short story, so writing a novel was his next dream. As the months passed, Maverick quietly wrote his book, “The HoneyMoon” which was a short novel. This book took Mavrik 4 months to write. This book was an whole new concept, and the whole story was original. “The Lavender Killer” had been inspired by the “Scream” movies, but “The HoneyMoon” was a whole new original idea. That being why he was so proud of it at the time.
In May of 2023, this was the start of the next three short stories he would write. These books would then be in a collection that would be published at the end of the year. In May of 2023, Mavrik wrote “We Are Not Alone,” a short story where he explored the topic of extraterrestrials. This book was special, since he honored his friend who had written “The Mysterious Killer” with, two years before. It was also his fastest book that took to write; surprisingly, only taking two weeks to write. Then in June of 2023, Mavrik jumped to writing again. He wrote “The Nantahala Project,” where he explored the topic of the supernatural and bigfoot. Then after this he wrote another short story called “Stranger,” where he explored the topic of home invasion. This capping off the end of the short story series. The book “Stranger” took two months to write, and was published in September of 2023, the beginning fo mavrik’s high school career. This short story series all occur in the same universe, this being a fun end to his book writing career for a while.
In October of 2023, in Mavrik’s freshman year, he had a new idea. It was called a lyric book. He had written regular books for the past year, and he wanted to try something different. This being the start of a break from writing books for a while. The lyric book concept was a book filled with songs written by the author. He wanted to try this, but not alone. He brought this idea up to one of his best friends, and she loved the idea of this. Then at the end of October they wrote a lyric book called “dreams,” and it consisted of 25 songs originally written by them both. This was also the start of a new journey, lyric books. He would then write two more lyric books with his friend, calling themselves BandM: standing for Braleigh and Mavrik. Then in December, BandM announced they were going to publish their second lyric book called “Ultra-HD.” They had written this book over the course of November and published it towards the end of December. This book was a little different from the previous lyric book, it consisted of three editions. And when put together, they would make a picture. Each edition included additional songs written by BandM. Then in the same month of December, capping off the year of 2023, it being a great year for Mavrik’s books, he published a 4 story collection. It consisted of four previously published books: his short story collection. It consisted of “The Lavender Killer,” “We Are Not Alone,” “The Nantahala Project,” and “Stranger. Even though this was the end of the year, Mavrik and BandM had things planned for the new year.
In February of 2024, Mavrik announced his next book: “They Watched Us.” This was his first book in about half a year. BandM also announced their third lyric book: “True Ballads.” Though this lyric book would be the end of BandM, for a while. Mavrik on the other hand, kept up his writing and soon after finishing and publishing “They Watched Us,” he began writing his most highly anticipated book yet. “They Watched Us” ended up being a very special book to Mavrik, since it included all of his swim friends. All of the characters in the book were all his swim friends. This was definitely a special book, and a special moment in time for Mavrik, and his friends he shared this book with.
Just three months later, Mavrik wrote his own lyric book called “The Last Notes Archive.” This wasn't his best book in sales, but it still stays close to his heart in his journey of writing. This was also his first ever book where he put his own face on the cover.
After “The Last Notes Archive,” Mavrik’s surprise novel was finally done. It was called “The BloodMoon,” the sequel to the short novel “The HoneyMoon.” This book seemed a little jarring to some, since it was so random, but it had also been a year since “The HoneyMoon.” There had also been very subtle hints Mavrik left in his instagram posts teasing this next release. This was Mavrik’s first novel, an actual one. “The HoneyMoon” had been a short novel, but “The BloodMoon” was a real novel. It had taken three and a half months to write. Mavrik would write every single day in his SRT freshman year. This book was the last hurray to his Freshman year. Mavrik’s published 8 individual projects this school year, 10 individual books really. It was definitely a rollercoaster of a year, but it was definitely a year to look back on.
At this point, Mavrik’s book writing career seemed to be here. This was all he wanted for so long. An amazing list of every published book he wrote. This is why, if you buy a book by Mavrik Weber, his “OTHER BOOKS BY MAVRIK WEBER” page is a significant part of each book. Each book adds one more line of text. Though, because this was all he wanted, it was time for a break. So he took a three month break over the summer, and enjoyed hsi summer off of school until sophomore year started. Though Mavrik also had plans for the next school year, because how could he not?!
Three months had passed, and no sign of work was presented. But secretly, behind the scenes, three projects where in store. In September of 2024, also the start of sophomore year for Mavrik, he announced three projects; “Halloween Collection,” another 4 in 1; “Light Inside,” BandM’s next lyric book after seven months; and “All For The Photo,” a new book. “Halloween Collection was really just an Halloween collection of books all by Mavrik Weber, but also at this point, Mavrik was embracing and falling into MW Published Books. Mavrik had made MW Published Books Website back in the beginning of the year, but now Halloween was just around the corner, and it was time for a revamp. The website then turned halloween themed, and displayed three announcements for three new books coming in October. Then “Light Inside” was set to release after “Halloween Collection.” “Light inside” was BandM’s comeback after seven months of silence, to some it may have been a fun surprise to look forward to for 2024’s Halloween season. Lastly, “All For The Photo” a book that had been long awaited. It had also been three months since any sign of any book by Mavrik. “All For The Photo” was now the new shiny book. All of these books were released in October, making October one hell of a month.
Mavrik plans to take a break (not really), and let the silence and the aftershock of three books settle down. Mavrik is working on another project that will be announced around next year. So stay tuned to follow Mavrik’s long journey through book writing.
